Day 1: Arrive Boston

Day 2: Landmarks of Boston / Cambridge
A Boston city sightseeing tour includes views of Faneuil Hall, the Old State House and the South Meeting House, and a visit to Old North Church. Travel across the Charles River­ to Cambridge for a walking tour of Harvard Yard; return to Boston to spend the rest of the day exploring historic “Beantown” as you please.

Day 3: Lexington & Concord / Salem
Follow the route of Paul Revere’s ride through Lexington and Concord, where the Revolution began; see the Old North Bridge and the Minute Man statue. Continue on to Salem for a visit to the beautiful streetscapes of the McIntire Historic District; your journey continues to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Attend a “Town Hall Meeting” hosted by a local expert.
Overnight: Sheraton Harborside Portsmouth, NH

Day 4: Coastal Maine / White Mountains
Travel to Portland, Maine, for an interactive cruise* aboard a working lobster boat and a guided walking tour of its historic Old Port. Wind your way into New Hampshire’s White Mountains; learn about the North Woods during a wildlife presentation.
Overnight: White Mountain Hotel & Resort, North Conway, NH
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 5: White Mountains and Green Mountains
Journey through the White Mountains to Crawford Notch and Franconia Notch for a short walk in the Basin. Continue to Vermont and visit the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. A “Taste of Vermont” reception precedes dinner at your hotel.

Day 6: Rural Vermont / Woodstock
Tour Billings Farm and Museum in Woodstock, showcasing life on a working dairy farm in Vermont, and visit the birthplace and boyhood home of President Calvin Coolidge. Return to your resort where you can join us for an optional guided nature walk or spend time as you wish.
Overnight: Hawk Inn & Mountain Resort, Plymouth, VT
Meals Included: Breakfast, dinner

Day 7: Studio of Ken Burns / Stockbridge
Schedule permitting, visit the personal studio of documentary filmmaker Ken Burns in Walpole, New Hampshire. Continue on to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, to see many of the artist’s original works, including his Saturday Evening Post covers, and visit his studio. Join us for a farewell dinner.
Overnight: Crowne Plaza Pittsfield-Berkshires, Pittsfield, MA

Day 8: Journey Home
Drive to Boston stopping for lunch at the Salem Cross Inn (approx. 160 miles). Tour ends: Boston’s Logan Airport at approx. 3:00 PM or The Westin Copley Place, Boston at 4:00 PM.
